packlock®

packlock® is the world's first child-resistant mono-material blister based on the natural development of hand size and coordination. Children can't open it, adults can easily.

ECO

100% Recyclable

Made from PP monomaterial, packlock® is 100% recyclable and therefore reducing packaging waste without sacrificing safety or performance.

How it works

packlock®

Squeeze
1

Squeeze

Squeeze the top and bottom parts together.

Pop
2

Pop

While squeezing, pop the product into the newly formed space.

Collect
3

Collect

Collect the product through the hole on the bottom.

Child-Safe

Proven protection for children up to 6 years, based on the natural development of hand size and coordination.

Cost-Effective

Low investment: manufactured on existing blister production lines with minimal adaptation required.

Flexible Design

Format and material independent, adaptable to a wide range of product sizes and production requirements.

Printable

Printable on all surfaces for additional branding, product information, and traceability.

Robust

Excellent product protection even without secondary packaging, reducing material usage further.

Sustainable

100% recyclable PP monomaterial with reduced overall material consumption.

Drop-in Integration

Same line. One extra step.

packlock® uses the same thermoforming process as standard blister packaging. Packlock®'s changes all happen downstream to create the child-resistant format.

packlock blister flat and unfolded, as it comes off the thermoforming line
Out of the blister machine

Produced like any ordinary blister

The blister is formed, filled, and sealed on your existing thermoforming line, identical to any ordinary blister machine output.

Downstream of the blister machine

One fold added downstream

Our process takes place entirely after the standard blister procedure and involves only cutting, punching, perforation, and welding. Just a compact downstream station without additional material.

packlock® eco

100% PP monomaterial. The entire product, from blister cavity to lid foil, is made from a single type of plastic. No mixed materials, no sorting problems, no recycling compromises.

Single material throughoutCavity, foil, and lid are all PP. No aluminium barrier, no PVC layer, no adhesive bonding between incompatible plastics.
Recyclable in existing PP streamsBecause no separation of materials is required, packlock® eco goes directly into standard PP recycling without pre-sorting or delamination.
Ready for tightening regulationsThe EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is raising recyclability requirements across pharma and consumer goods. packlock® eco meets them today.
No compromise on protectionThe mono-material construction maintains the full child-resistant mechanism, tamper-evident seal, and structural robustness of the standard packlock® format.
Primary Packaging Only

No secondary packaging required.

packlock® is robust enough to go directly from production onto the retail shelf. No outer box, no card backer, no shrink wrap.

Eliminate the outer boxThe blister structure provides sufficient rigidity and tamper evidence on its own. No cardboard sleeve or folding carton needed.
Reduce material and costRemoving secondary packaging cuts material spend, line complexity, and the environmental footprint of every unit shipped.
Shelf-ready out of the lineProducts can be transferred directly to retail display after the blister line. No repackaging station, no additional handling step.
